Engagement Workshops
Alongside the performances we offer a number of workshops to engage your audience further leaving them feeling like they have been entertained, learned something new about a different culture and about themselves.

Ancestral Aliveness
Designed for young adult and adult groups, this workshop connects people to their ancestral song and story lines. Amarantha's uniquely engaging process helps people honour and understand their lineage, resurrect silenced voices and deepen their understanding of their personal identity through the lands and people that have come before.
All the stories that come through us come from somewhere - and those bloods, spirits and bodies still move and talk through you. Let's listen in.

Drumming and Dance
Amarantha and Adrian facilitate this combined Afro-Caribbean dance and drumming workshop. Professor Adrian H. Hearn is a musicologist and professor of anthropology at the University of Melbourne. Versed in the drum rhythms of Cuba and Senegal, Adrian teaches that signal the Orishas (West African deities) of which Oshun is one. Amarantha is a trained Afro-Caribbean dancer, together they teach a fun and interactive workshop about drums rhythms and dances with deep mystical connection.
* Organisers must provide drums for participants
