RWANDA PROJECT:
CONSULTING ON RWANDA'S FIRST PERFORMING ARTS & CULTURAL CENTRE
Amarantha worked with the Ubumuntu Arts Organisation and Project Manager, Fatou Kine Dieye in Kigali, Rwanda from 2025 to 2026. She lead the performing artist and arts ecology consultation on the design and business plan of Rwanda's first performing arts centre, lending network, expertise and insight that will transform Rwanda's creative economy with the building of a brand new performing arts and cultural centre, designed with artists and engagement in mind.
TESTIMONIAL
"Amarantha was an invaluable contributor to the feasibility study and development framework for Rwanda’s first purpose-built performing arts centre. As Arts Ecology Consultant, she brought a rare combination of creative practice, strategic thinking, and rigorous research, helping to shape the Centre’s cultural, operational, and institutional vision.
Drawing on international case studies and extensive stakeholder engagement, Amarantha developed artist-centred frameworks, venue ecology strategies, programming models, and revenue approaches that directly informed the project’s design brief, operational planning, and funding narrative. Her ability to translate the needs of artists into practical infrastructure and long-term cultural planning was particularly impactful.
Throughout the project, Amarantha worked with professionalism, reliability, and care, collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team of architects, ecologists, and community consultants. She consistently delivered thoughtful, high-quality work within demanding timelines and made a significant contribution to the strength and credibility of the study.
I would confidently recommend Amarantha for arts ecology, cultural planning, creative infrastructure development, and performing arts strategy projects."
